April 29, 2020

Dear Friends & Colleagues,

Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. Beginning May 1, 2020, we will begin to schedule routine/preventive care appointments.  While many things have changed recently, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agency’s recommendations.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:

  • Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
  • We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.  As an alternative, you may wash your hands upon arrival.
  • You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
  • To check in for your appointment, we request that you call us when you arrive at our parking lot.  We will then notify you when your provider is ready for you.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at office number or visit our website.

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.

April 6, 2020

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

As we are all aware, information and recommendations to prevent the spread of COVID-19 are changing daily. The ADA is now urging all U.S. dentists to postpone elective procedures until Thursday, April 30th. In view of this recommendation, we will be rescheduling all appointments for elective dental treatment (including cleanings) through Friday, May 1st. We will be calling you to reschedule your appointment if it is affected by this update.

We hope to re-open to normal business on Monday, May 4th. Please be aware that future updates from state or federal agencies may affect this date. We are doing our part to flatten the curve and maintain focus on urgent and emergency dental care only during this time, so please call us at 307-745-5020 if you are experiencing dental pain or swelling. Our team is checking voicemail messages daily.

March 31, 2020

Due to the ongoing pandemic and the many recommendations from state and federal government agencies, Laramie Dental Arts is extending its closure until Monday, April 20th. Non-emergency appointments (including cleanings) will be cancelled during this time.  We will be reaching out to you to reschedule any appointments affected.

We have made this decision with the health and safety of our patients and employees in mind. We will continue to monitor the recommendations and update everyone as necessary.

We are still here for your dental emergencies or any questions you might have. Please call 307-745-5020 if and when you need us. Our team is thinking of you and all of your families during this time.

March 17, 2020

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Starting tomorrow, March 18, we will be open for emergency appointments only. All routine and non-emergent dental appointments including cleanings will be rescheduled to a date after April 6.

We have had strict screening guidelines in place for the past couple days for patients and staff entering our practice, to ensure the safety of our patient population and dental team. However, at this time the American Dental Association is recommending the following:

“The American Dental Association (ADA) recognizes the unprecedented and extraordinary circumstances dentists and all health care professionals face related to growing concern about COVID-19. The ADA is deeply concerned for the health and well-being of the public and the dental team.
In order for dentistry to do its part to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the ADA recommends dentists nationwide postpone elective procedures for the next three weeks. Concentrating on emergency dental care will allow us to care for our emergency patients and alleviate the burden that dental emergencies would place on hospital emergency departments.”

So what does this recommendation really mean? As of this afternoon, we will clear our schedule for the rest of the week and will continue to monitor the ADA recommendations closely. We will continue to post updates as they become available to us. We will be treating emergency patients and will continue to follow our strict screening protocols with these patients. If you have an appointment scheduled between March 18 – April 3, we will contact you to reschedule. Please call us with any emergency/urgent dental situation you may have.   You can contact our office at 307-745-5020 with any additional questions or concerns, and we will be returning voicemails left daily.

While we are sorry for your inconvenience, we are doing our part to help flatten the curve and keep our community healthy. We’re all in this together!

March 16, 2020

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

At Laramie Dental Arts, the health and well-being of our patients, employees, and community is our top priority. In response to the rapidly evolving Corona Virus (COVID-19), we want to assure you that we are taking every safeguard possible to increase our already strict protocol and adherence to providing a clean and sterile environment for every patient, every day.

If you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms and/or have recently traveled overseas or have been in contact with anyone who has, we are requesting that you reschedule your appointment. Additionally, we are requiring that every patient wash their hands upon arrival to our office.

Of course the same rules apply to our staff, and we are closely monitoring the Centers For Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) websites and are prepared to enact any updated guidelines and provisions as necessary. Please stay updated by checking your e-mail for messages or by visiting our website or Facebook page. As always, if you have questions about an upcoming visit please feel free to call the office.

It is of utmost importance for all of us to proceed with understanding, elevated caution, and respect for one another while continuing to provide treatment to our patients in need.

Thank you for your continued support as we move forward together during this difficult time.
